KVK riders clock up the miles in all weathers

Youth riders on top of the world at Penshurst. We tackled one of our regular routes in reverse and took the scenic route home via Penshurst Place.  It was fine and dry unlike later that day......................

Some four hours later, same spot but this time with a few more parents and some of our younger riders all on mountain bikes.  It was seriously wet so much so that we didn't even finish the Percy Pigs.  Everyone just wanted to get on and get back home.  We completed the 10 mile round trip despite of the appalling weather.
Hope's friend Georgia joined us for her first ride out, perhaps they have been secretly watching the Giro d'Italia, their close riding led to a spectacular tumble into a muddy ditch via a patch of stinging nettles!  Like true pro riders they both got up and rung out their socks before getting back on their bikes.  Well done girls, Laura Trott would be proud of you!
