Racing

Go Ride Racing is the best place to start in the world of bike racing.  No special equipment is required and races are open to everyone on any bike.  We run our own events from time to time as well as going to events at other clubs.

The next step up is Regional Racing. This is a "proper" race, you need a race licence to take part in these races and you  have to ride on restricted gears.  KVK riders regular race road bikes at Cyclopark and occasionally at other road circuits at Lee Valley, Redbridge and Hillingdon.  Youth riders do not race on the open road. After that there are Nationals and Internationals; In 2019 we had our first KVK rider competing in the European Junior Cycling Tour in Assen, Netherlands.

If you are interested in racing please talk to me, there are some rules that you need to be aware of!

Follow this link to find out about gear restrictions for young riders entering BC races.
