Fourteen rides took part in our Go Ride session this afternoon. We focussed on pace, riding slowly and stopping. So you guessed it, lots of slow races and games of sardines and sumo. We tried the Pace Eight activity but just couldn't quite get it together!!
Next week there is no Go Ride session as we will be at Cyclopark for John Leitch's Cycling Nuts day.
Next Go Ride session 12th October
Next Ride: Ride Out start point TBC.

Saturday 14th September - New Year at KVK
Today was our first session back after the summer break. We kicked off with a ride up Col de Coldharbour, we had to add a loop as these guys are really motoring now. Back to Westwood in double quick time, all ready for our afternoon session at Stocks Green.
Fifteen riders signed on for today's session, the focus was "useful skills". Kicked off with one of our old favourites; saddle push. We managed to incorporate all skills levels by getting our older riders to perform the technique backwards with the wrong hand - they found it tricky to start with but picked it up quickly enough. We followed on with some bottle techniques, favourite game turned out to be passing and collecting bottles randomly from parents and helpers dotted around the playground.
After the session a few riders had a go at riding on the rollers, I'm sure they will all have mastered this before too long.
Fantastic day spent with the KVK, a year of hard work on their part is really showing now with fitness and skills levels improving all the time. Well done guys, looking forward to another great year.
Sorry no photos today I forgot!
